Welcome...

To Jura... no... no. That's not it.

December 18, 2023

Welcome to my new home on the Internet! My name is Rich and I'm one of countless others who, for whatever reason, decided to buy a virtual home to do things.

This is that place.

If you check the menu/navigation thingy to the left (unless you're on mobile or something, in which case it's stuck in the hamburger thing at the top of the page), you'll see a few different areas. Presently, they are: Home (that's this page), Projects (were I'll talk about various computer-related things), Journal (where... I... journal?), Writing (where I'll post my short stories), About me... which is more about me than this page and has lots of info you probably didn't ever want or need to know), and Contact me (infer what you will about this page).

My goal is to actually update things here, now that I'm not using WordPress any longer. I hated the interface there and my old web host was pretty not awesome for me and my purposes, so I had to migrate things. And since I was migrating, why not make a new page?

So, browse around and check things out. I'll be adding features here and there along the way. Most of the features will be geared toward me and my purposes - like when I make a new python thing that I want to share or implement here, it will either be spiffy for me, or spiffy for everyone (think little tools or game remakes from yesteryear - yesteryear being the mid 80s, yo!). I may NEVER add a comment section to my site because dealing with user data is not something I care to think about, but if you know something I don't - a neat python module I can use to make things easier to manage - see: Contact Me.

Anyway... Laters for now!

Oh... P.S.?

Regardless of what I write, I don't typically take myself too seriously (I mean, if I'm writing a sort of dark or horror story, I do), and will include a lot of my personality in the text. If that kind of thing annoys you, you probably won't like reading anything I write that is tech related because, well, technical stuff is just boring. And after YEARS of reading boring-ass technical documentation for work, I'm not about to add to it! You get snark. Sometimes a little. Sometimes a lot. The snark:info ratio is not guaranteed to be heavy in either direction, so... Ye have been warned! (Imagine a great pirate voice for that last bit)
